Deleting your PulseGuard account

Last updated: 31 August 2026

This page describes how to close your PulseGuard account and delete the data attached to it, whether or not you are able to sign in right now.

If you can sign in

  1. Open PulseGuard and go to Settings (the gear icon on the Check-in screen).
  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Close your account.
  3. Read what closing affects — PulseGuard shows you exactly who is watching over you, who you watch over, and what you have saved before you confirm anything.
  4. Confirm. Your account is not deleted immediately: you have 30 days to change your mind. During that time your account works exactly as it did before, and a banner on the home screen shows the date it will close.
  5. To cancel, open Settings again and tap Keep my account — or tap the banner on the home screen — any time before the 30 days are up.

If you cannot sign in

Write to pulseguard.care@gmail.com from the email address your account uses, and ask for it to be closed. We will confirm back to that address and start the same 30-day process described below.

What happens when the 30 days pass

Once the closing date arrives, and is not cancelled before then, we permanently delete:

People connected to your account are told. If you are being watched over, or you watch over someone else, or a subscription connects you and another person, everyone affected receives an email explaining what is ending and when — see the Privacy Notice for what we hold on their behalf.

What we do not do

We do notBecause
Delete anything before the 30 days are up The data is often a family's instructions, and the people who use PulseGuard are frequently elderly — a mistaken tap should be reversible.
Keep your vault or check-ins "just in case" Once the 30 days pass and the account is deleted, it is gone. We cannot restore it.
Release your Legacy Vault to anyone as a side effect of closing your account Closing your account is the opposite of the account going silent — it is the clearest possible sign that you are still here. Any pending review of your account is cancelled the moment you ask to close it.

For what we collect while your account is open, and who else ever processes it, see the full Privacy Notice.
