PulseGuard support

Last updated: 2 September 2026

PulseGuard sends a message to the people you chose if you stop checking in. This page answers the questions we are asked most. If your question is not here, write to us — a person reads it.

Email: pulseguard.care@gmail.com
We answer within two working days. If your message is about somebody you are worried about right now, say so in the subject line.
PulseGuard is not an emergency service. We do not call the police or an ambulance, and nobody is watching a screen. If someone is in danger, contact your local emergency services directly. In Malaysia that is 999.

Getting started

I did not get my sign-in link

PulseGuard signs you in with a link sent to your email — there is no password to remember. If the email has not arrived after a minute or two:

Nobody can see my check-ins

A person you add has to accept first. Until they do, PulseGuard shows them as Not accepted and they are not contacted if you go quiet. Open My Circle and use Resend if their invitation went astray.

Everyday use

Changing when you check in

Open Settings from the check-in screen. You can move your time, add a second one, or turn the daily check-in off entirely and let PulseGuard watch for long silences instead.

The app asked for the same thing twice

It should not. If PulseGuard offers you a change you have already made, tell us what it offered and we will fix it — that is a bug, not a setting.

Reminders arrive at an awkward hour

Settings has quiet hours. Reminders inside that window are held until it ends, so a reminder never wakes you at three in the morning.

Your Care Circle

What the people I add can see

That you checked in, and when. Nothing else. Not where you are, and nothing in your Legacy Vault.

Removing somebody

Open My Circle, then the menu beside their name. They stop being contacted immediately.

I was added to somebody's circle by mistake

An invitation can be declined, and nothing starts until it is accepted — so if you have not accepted, simply decline it.

If you have already accepted and want out, ask the person whose circle it is to remove you from their My Circle screen. If you would rather not ask them, or they cannot be reached, write to us and we will remove you. Being in a circle is not something you should have to stay in.

The Legacy Vault

When is it released

Only if your account falls silent for a long time, after we have tried to reach you and a person at PulseGuard has reviewed the case. Any sign of life from you stops the process immediately.

Should I put passwords in it

No. Write down where they are kept instead — the safe, the notebook, the password manager. The vault is encrypted, but it is not end-to-end encrypted: PulseGuard can decrypt it, because that is what lets it be delivered after verification.

A recorded message will not play

Videos recorded in some browsers use a format other devices cannot open. The app offers a link when this happens — that link will open on a computer. The recording is not damaged.

Account and billing

Closing your account

Settings, then Close your account. Nothing is deleted for 30 days and you can change your mind at any point. See Deleting your account for exactly what is removed and who is told.

Cancelling a subscription

Subscriptions bought through the App Store are cancelled in your Apple account settings, not in PulseGuard. Write to us if a charge looks wrong and we will look it up.
